I don’t remember my first show because I didn’t watch any of the bands.  I was 13 and shy and just hung out in the back of the room with some friends and didn’t have the courage to fight through the huge crowd to see the bands.

After that I started going to local ska/punk shows.  They were fun but I wasn’t super into any of the bands.  Then that summer I went to the first Warped Tour (1995 I believe), where I saw my first bigger hardcore/punk bands: Sick of it All, CIV, Wizo, and L7.

What I generally call my first hardcore show (since Warped Tour isn’t really a show) was when I was 15.  It was 3 local bands (Counterstrike, No Reason, and Strongballs) and 3 touring bands (Sons of Abraham, Indecision, and Ignite).  I also bought one of my first 7”s at that show (Monster X).
